At Whattaroll HQ we are always on the lookout for new and innovative efforts in the field of film photography. Recently, we came across an exciting little project based in Madrid, Spain. Spearheaded by photographer and researcher Antonio Cañadas, NOPO promises to bring us back to the origins of photography with its beautifully hand-crafted pinhole cameras.
Founded in early 2014, the company has been working tirelessly on developing and fine tuning their products, and have now emerged with a variety of 35mm, medium format, and large format cameras on Kickstarter! Built through a combination of walnut, cherry, and birch wood, each NOPO camera is lovingly made with the newest technologies whilst maintaining an intimate and personal touch.
